The Enemy of The State

Well, this quickly ended my retirement. Democracy Now and Common Dreams are both reporting that the U.S. military is now involved in infiltrating and spying on U.S. based peace and activist groups, especially those meddlesome anarchists.

Semi-retired from public life. Adios Abbeyweb, adios Facebook. No more lunches, text messages, Tweets, cellphones, trivial chit chat and parties. Tee-vee has to go, too. Nothing worth watching other than movies on DVD.
I need a break from all the media. A quiet time away from it all.

Ed On Campus

Tom Keith took this photo at the library of Amherst College recently. Looks like a solid curriculum to me, sufficient to lead a young person to a long life of learning, discovery, mischief and happiness!
